It wasn't the battery after all. It seems like Pamphile has 'mis-fixed' the fuel guage and I'd run out. At least adding fuel and then purging and priming the lines seemed to solve it, though the engine is far from smooth.

12th July
How can a car battery that's only four months old die already. I didn't get to church in Bongoville today because the truck refused to start. Hmm. Numbers at the Léconi church were very low, though apparently better than in recent weeks.

10th -11th July
Second translation mini-workshop in Léconi. It was slightly disappointing but not very surprisingly that only six people turned up for the workshop on Friday evening. It was very disappointing that only three came back the next day. Ho hum. They did still produce a draft translation of the parable of the sower, though the translation of some key terms such as 'disciple' and 'devil' remain very provisional. I have a feeling we will have rather more ammendments to make when we go out into the community to test the draft.

9th July
Life returned to its noisy normality since the end of the period of mourning for president Bongo was reached and the bars and clubs started playing their loud music again. We're praying the political situation continues to be quiet though.
